
GMAT Overview
GMAT stands for "Graduate Management Admission Test," which is a test that evaluates students' analytical writing, mathematical, and verbal skills in preparation for MBA and comparable programs at a graduate business school.
Structure of GMAT
A. Verbal Reasoning
In 65 minutes, you'll have to answer 36 multiple choice questions consisting of following sub components.
1. Correction of Sentences
This topic assesses your ability to modify textual content to ensure that it complies with 'standard written English.'
2. Critical Reasoning
This test puts your capacity to comprehend and draw conclusions to the test.
3. Reading comprehension
This challenge puts your reading and comprehension skills to the test.
B. Integrated Reasoning
This part has 12 questions and takes 30 minutes to complete. The tasks are developed to evaluate how well you incorporate information in order to solve complicated problems; to obtain credit, you must correctly answer all of the questions; no partial credit is given.
C. Quantitative Reasoning
In 62 minutes, you'll have to answer 31 multiple-choice questions consisting of following sub components
1. Problem Solving
This topic assesses fundamental arithmetic skills, comprehension of basic Math topics, and quantitative reasoning ability.
2. Data Sufficiency
This matter assesses your capacity to identify a quantitative challenge, identify which snippets of evidence are significant, and evaluate whether enough data is provided to address a problem.
D. Analytical Writing
Analysis of an Argument
The Analyze an Argument assignment tests your competence to comprehend, interpret, and interpret information, as well as to write coherently about your insights.

Grading the GMAT examination
The total GMAT score varies from 200-800 where scores in the Analytical Writing Assessment section range from 0 to 6 in half point increments. Scores in the Integrated Reasoning section range from 1 to 8 in one-point increments. In 1-point increments, quantitative ratings can range from 6 to 51. In 1-point increments, verbal scores can range from 6 to 51. In 10-point increments, the total score might vary from 200 to 800.
